I am a victim of medical malpractice at the hands of Dr. Prashanth Ramachandra at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, Darby, PA. On April 4, 2023, I underwent a revision weight loss surgery that has since turned my life upside down. Despite assurances from Dr. Ramachandra about his expertise and experience in this field, the aftermath of the procedure has been nothing short of disastrous.

I have been unable to eat anything for over a year due to toxic fluid left in my stomach during surgery - an oversight that is simply unacceptable from a professional with years of experience under his belt. As a result, I've had multiple infections and almost lost my life; now living with a feeding tube inserted into my stomach.

This ordeal has not only affected me physically but also emotionally and financially as well - unable to work or provide for my family due to constant sickness; back on bills and on the verge of losing our home while juggling responsibilities towards children split up between houses.

Sadly enough, I'm not alone in this suffering caused by Dr.Ramachandra's negligence - he also performed surgery on my cousin who tragically passed away post-operation without any accountability or remorse shown by him.

Medical malpractice is an issue that affects many Americans every year – according to Johns Hopkins Medicine study (2016), it's the third leading cause of death in the U.S., causing 250,000 deaths annually (Source: Johns Hopkins Medicine). It's high time we demand accountability from those responsible!
