The Issue

The loss of a beloved pet is a heart-wrenching experience, and when the circumstances surrounding that loss are shrouded in inconsistencies and negligence, it becomes even more unbearable. On New Year's Eve 2024, our dear pet, Jade, affectionately known as Fat Fat, died at the 24/7 Animal Hospital of Orlando, a place we entrusted with her care. We want to highlight the distressing events that unfolded and urge for accountability and change.

During her stay at the hospital, Jade was under the supervision of Rebecca and Dr. Mohammad Hassan, the owner of the facility. Despite assurances of round-the-clock monitoring, the explanations given by Rebecca and Dr. Hassan regarding Jade's passing were conflicting. We were initially told that Jade had received her 10pm medications, only to later find out, she had not been administered the medication because she crashed.

Such inconsistencies and lack of protocol adherence are not only alarming but unacceptable. We owe it to Jade and countless other pets under their care to ensure these practices are rectified. Veterinary hospitals must adhere to strict protocols especially when the lives of our beloved pets hang in balance.

We are calling on the authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the practices of the 24/7 Animal Hospital of Orlando. We demand transparency and accountability from Dr. Hassan and his team. Furthermore, the facility needs to implement stringent policies and checks to prevent any repeat incidents of this nature.

By signing this petition, you will join us in seeking justice and pushing for necessary reforms to protect other families from experiencing such irreparable loss under similar circumstances. Let’s insist on higher standards of care and commitment from those who are entrusted with our pets’ lives. Please sign and help us drive this change to protect our furry companions.
