The Issue

We, the undersigned, are calling for immediate and decisive action from Lancaster County’s justice system to hold accountable those responsible for dealing deadly drugs in our community — including those involved in the case of Michael Levi Sanders.       On March 2nd, 2025, Levi lost his life to an accidental fentanyl overdose. His death is not an isolated tragedy. It is part of a growing epidemic that is sweeping through Lancaster County, claiming lives, destroying families, and leaving heartbreak in its wake.       Our family is living a nightmare that no one should have to endure. But this time, law enforcement has acted: The individual who sold him the fatal dose has been arrested and is currently in jail on a $250,000 bond, awaiting trial. There is evidence that she knowingly sold him the drugs that ended his life, which led to the serious charges she now faces.     What makes this even more urgent is that this individual was active on social media, openly posting about the pain she has caused, mocking our family, and showing no remorse. Our community has been endangered by this behavior, and our family has been devastated by its consequences.   This is not justice. This is not acceptable. We demand:     1. Maximum prosecution and sentencing for ALL individuals involved in distributing fentanyl and other lethal substances - including full accountability and the maximum sentence for the individual involved in the case of Michael Levi Sanders.       2. Increased efforts to dismantle local drug networks and protect vulnerable members of our community.     3. Respect and dignity for victims and their families from those within the justice system and our community.     Our family has suffered more loss than words can express due to the fentanyl crisis. This is not just our story - it is the story of countless families begging for justice and change.
Our faith teaches us to “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves” (Proverbs 31:8). We will not be silent. We believe that God sees the evil being allowed to run rampant in our community, and He calls us to take a stand. Proverbs 31:8-9 tells us: “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”   We are asking you to be a voice with us. Your voice matters. Every signature helps highlight the ongoing threat the fentanyl crisis poses to our community and shows the urgent need for accountability.
For our families, our children, and our future - we ask for your signature today to show Lancaster County leaders that we stand together for justice, for accountability, and for change.
