Demand Accountability After Russian Strike on U.S. Facility in Ukraine

The Issue

Russia just launched a major drone and missile attack on western Ukraine—striking a U.S.-owned electronics factory, injuring American-affiliated workers, and sending a message during ongoing U.S.-led peace efforts: Moscow is not serious about ending this war.

The factory, one of the largest American investments in Ukraine, was hit while 600 night shift workers were inside. This wasn’t a battlefield accident.

Ukrainian and American officials say the strike was targeted, deliberate, and dangerous—not just to Ukraine, but to U.S. property, workers, and global stability.

The Trump administration has rightly committed to brokering peace, but peace demands accountability—and this strike cannot go unanswered.

We, the undersigned, are calling on:

President Trump and the U.S. Department of State to publicly condemn the Russian strike on American infrastructure and issue a formal diplomatic response;

Congress to hold hearings on the attack and consider additional sanctions or consequences for targeting U.S. businesses abroad.

This is a test of how we respond when American lives and interests are attacked. Ignoring it sets a precedent for escalation—not de-escalation.

Six workers were injured. One person was killed elsewhere in the same barrage. Russia launched hundreds of drones and missiles in one night, just days after promising to engage in peace talks.
