Demand a Vote of No Confidence in the Cosmetology Association of New Brunswick (CANB)

The Issue

As a deeply concerned member of the Cosmetology community in New Brunswick, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the unfair regulations, unnecessary fees, and lack of transparency by the Cosmetology Association of New Brunswick (CANB). The CANB's actions are negatively impacting all Cosmetologists in our region. We have seen fee increases without justification or explanation on how these funds are being used for our benefit.

The CANB's regulations for schools and salons are inconsistently evaluated and enforced. This inconsistency not only jeopardizes public safety but also tarnishes the reputation of dedicated local Cosmetologists who strive to uphold professional standards.

The lack of clear communication from CANB has led to price uncertainty among members which is detrimental to our businesses. The association seems more profit-driven than focused on serving its members or promoting best practices within our industry.

We believe that it is time for a vote of no confidence against this regulatory body whose actions appear solely profit-motivated rather than aimed at improving conditions for its members or ensuring public safety.

Our livelihoods depend on fair treatment, transparent communication, consistent enforcement of regulations, and reasonable fees that reflect actual benefits provided by an association meant to support us. We call upon all Cosmetologists in New Brunswick who share these concerns to sign this petition demanding a vote of no confidence against the current leadership at CANB. Together we can reclaim our profession from those who seem more interested in profits than people.
