Business owners and residents along the Germantown and Chelten corridor are increasingly concerned about safety. Many have requested police log books—used to track officer visits—but have not received them, while others have log books that have gone unsigned for months. This lack of police presence leaves businesses vulnerable to crime, threatening both local commerce and the well-being of our community.

Germantown faces significant safety challenges, with crime rates 214% higher than the national average (source). It is critical to improve policing in this area so residents, business owners, and visitors can feel safe in our neighborhood. We need our council office and local law enforcement to take action by:

• Ensuring police log books are available and regularly updated ensuring businesses feel safer during business hours
• Increasing police patrols during and after business hours with foot patrol and bike cops regularly along the corridor
• Improving response times to incidents along the corridor
