Let the people of the UK decide by public referendum and have a choice as to if they are happy for the government to push ahead with plans for a digital ID system.

The consultation started on January 4th 2023 until March 1st but has not been made aware to the public. 

This will effect every resident and I believe that we the people of the United kingdom should have a say in this matter and all others associated with it.

The provisional timetable for the parlimentry process is 

Draft laying date for the statutory process is July 2023

Enactment of powers October 2023

Data sharing in place December 2023

This should not be hidden from the public but explained in debates and in plain English openly.
