Demand a New Trial for Rashad Jamal

Demand a New Trial for Rashad Jamal
The Issue
Rashad Jamal, a man close to my heart, has been unlawfully detained and wrongfully imprisoned without the benefit of a fair trial. This is not just an affront to him as an individual but also undermines the principles of justice and fairness that our legal system is built upon.
The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 10, states, "Everyone is entitled, in full equality, to a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal." Yet, this basic human right was denied to Rashad. His case was marred with irregularities, which question the integrity of his conviction.
The Innocence Project reports that since 1989, over 2,800 people have been exonerated in the United States after being wrongfully convicted due to unfair trials or wrongful accusations. We believe Rashad could be one among them if given another chance at justice.
We are asking for your support in demanding a new trial for Rashad Jamal. By signing this petition, you are not only standing up for one man's rights but also sending out a strong message against miscarriage of justice everywhere. Please sign this petition today!
