Demand a Formal Apology from the House of Commons for Unchallenged False Narratives

The Issue

Starting in the late 1970s, the KGB successfully orchestrated “Operation Payback,” a disinformation campaign designed to provoke tensions between the Ukrainian, Baltic and Jewish diasporas.

Soviet-era, now Russian Federation, regurgitated disinformation must not go unchallenged. Unfounded allegations against Yaroslav Hunka portrayed him as a “Nazi war criminal.” Unfortunately, members from every political party in the House of Commons joined in denouncing our fellow Canadian, against whom absolutely no evidence of any criminal wartime behaviour has ever been produced.

Accordingly, we call on the House of Commons to apologize to Mr Yaroslav Hunka and restore his good name.
