For years, we have enjoyed minecraft and the imagination it has sparked in all of us. Some of us have played this game since release.

We hold dear to our hearts the style and creations that people have made because of this amazing game. We have grown up watching animations and youtubers play this game, doing all sorts of wacky things, laughing and enjoying ourselves as we have watched them. Some of these animations and videos have garnered tens of millions of views helping grow the community and the game. 

We as a community are deeply saddened to see the visual art style of the Minecraft movie, as it does away with the style and heritage of such content. We as a community understand that the art style may have been hard to come up with, time consuming, and costly. We understand that there is a massive task for the creative teams involved to sort out the problems that they have faced with creating this film, and we hold nothing against them, nor do we hold anything against the director. 

We as a community understand that to change the art style of the movie will be a massive undertaking and we do not mind how long it would take to do. We would only like to see something that reflects what we have grown up with and what has been developed by the community.

We have seen that visual changes to movies can dramatically change the feel and success of a film with movies such as the sonic franchise. We believe that your film will be a lot more successful and historic if you made a change in the visual style. 

We ask for you to change the film to fully animated, keeping the historic art style of the game and animations that people have made. Keep the voice acting but change the actors to animated characters. 

We do truly want to see this movie succeed as we have been waiting for this film for years. We hope you listen to the community.
