Delay or Eliminate the 1/1/2023 Dark Sky app End-of-Life
The Issue
In March 2020, Apple bought the most popular third-party weather app on the iOS App Store, Dark Sky. In recent years, the native iOS Weather app has seen several improvements borrowed from Dark Sky, but still pales in comparison to the original.
Apple plans to end-of-life Dark Sky on 1/1/2023. This would not only take the app off the App Store, but also shutter its API, making existing downloaded versions immediately useless.
Join us in demanding that Apple keep Dark Sky alive in 2023, the best Weather app for regular people.
