Over the past few days, Uttara Kannada district has experienced heavy rainfall and high alerts, prompting the District Administration to grant holidays to School and PU College students to ensure their safety. However, it has come to attention that the safety concerns of Degree students have been overlooked. Many of these students commute from different villages, and they are currently facing significant difficulties due to water logging and electricity wire-cuts.

Considering the ongoing alert situation in Uttara Kannada district, it is crucial to address the safety of Degree students as well. We urge the District Administration to take into account the challenges these students are facing and to promptly implement measures to safeguard their well-being.
