In Australia, deforestation is quite common and a major issue.  Every 86 seconds an mcg sized area of Australian forest or bush area is bulldozed. Deforestation is an issue because it suffocates reefs, kills wildlife, stuffs our soil and water. 

Deforestation is not only a problem nationally it is a global issue. WWF has  reported that area six times the size of Tasmania has been cleared globally. This means that deforestation is increasing every year. 

Deforestation contributes to extinction in many animal species. 29 mammals have become extinct since European colonisation. And now, over 1700 species are threatened or endangered including the usually common koala in NSW and QL.

We need to call on Lily D'Ambrosio the minister of environment and climate action in Victoria to help enforce harsher laws surrounding deforestation. 

With your support I will be able to convince Emily D to help increase the laws around deforestation and make her see this problem as a well known issue.
