Whereas, Anthony R. Saxton:

1) started TAS Aviation at the Defiance, OH in 1976 and has operated it continuously since then

2) has managed the KDFI FBO for most of that 44 year period

3) through his focus on twin-engine Cessnas, has become the world's expert on this fleet of 6,000+ airplanes

4) as the Director of Technical Support for The Twin Cessna Flyer - the owners group/type club for twin engine Cessnas - has performed maintenance on thousands of these airplanes whose owners have flown them to Defiance and injected millions of dollars into the local economy

5) has taught aircraft maintenance to over 2,000 Twin Cessna pilots and owners in seminars all over the country and established Defiance, OH as the center of the Twin Cessna world

6) was named the 1992 FAA Maintenance Technician of the Year

we, the signers of this petition, ask that the Defiance County Memorial Airport be renamed the "Anthony R. Saxton Defiance County Airport".
