Defer Enforcement of Amendments to Resolutions 233 and 234

Defer Enforcement of Amendments to Resolutions 233 and 234
The Issue
We, the undersigned homeowners of Countryside's townhouse neighborhoods, hereby petition the Countryside Board of Directors to defer the enforcement of Amended Resolutions 233 and 234 until further community engagement and discussion can take place.
Here's what you need to know about the amended resolutions, which were adopted at the February 7th Board of Directors' meeting without sufficient input from the community:
Resolution 233: Non-Commercial Reserved Parking Policies: This resolution includes changes to curbside parking in townhouse communities, now treating it as visitor parking. This means the same restrictions that have applied to visitor spaces for years will now also apply to curbside parking. Specifically, under the amended resolution, any car parked in a curbside parking space or a visitor space more than three (3) times in a thirty (30) day period can be towed if not moved when stickered with a warning notice.
Resolution 234: Commercial, Recreational, Junked & Abandoned Vehicles, Equipment and/or Other Machinery: The revised resolution significantly shortens the time period for commercial or restricted vehicle owners to park on the curb in townhouse neighborhoods overnight. They now have one (1) day/24 hours' notice before the commercial vehicle can be towed.
These resolutions will significantly impact everyone who lives in Countryside and our daily lives.
The lack of clarity on where residents and visitors alike can park if not on the curb, coupled with the potential consequences of repeated parking violations, raises serious concerns among homeowners. Furthermore, the amended resolutions fail to address the genuine need for open access to curbside parking areas and fail to provide adequate guidance on alternative parking arrangements.
We believe that more time for community engagement is crucial before the enforcement of these amended resolutions begins. Therefore, we urge the Board of Directors to defer enforcement to allow for broader community buy-in and discussion to determine the true impacts of these resolutions.
