In Missouri, when citizens feel their representative government is failing them, the citizens are fortunate to be able to participate in direct democracy through citizen driven ballot initiatives.

 Bowing to corporate lobbying interests, Missouri's 2011 Legislature has plans to overturn the will of the people on 3  Ballot Initiatives passed into law by a majority of  voters.

1.) The 2010 Proposition B, the Puppy Mill Cruelty Prevention Act
2.) The 2008 Missouri Proposition C, the Clean Energy Initiative
3.) The 2006 Missouri Proposition B, also known as the Raising Minimum Wage Act
Despite how you feel about any of these initiatives, a majority of Missouri voters wanted the legislation put in place. A democratic and legal process was used to get this legislation passed

Remind Missouri legislators a democratic process was used to elect them. That process was honored. Tell Missouri legislators that their job is to respect, defend, and honor that democracy. Changing or repealing citizen Ballot initiatives is not democratic, nor is it an option open to them.
