Decriminalize Nature

Decriminalize Nature
The Issue
Along with this petition, I have written up a letter that will be going to the governor and the senator of Idaho. Please help support this. If you are interested in reading the letter here is a link to it.
Letter on Psilocybin
Who is impacted?
In Idaho, countless individuals grappling with Parkinson's disease, PTSD, anxiety, and depression are seeking effective relief. Traditional treatments often fail to provide adequate relief, leaving them with limited options. Psilocybin offers a ray of hope, with studies demonstrating its potential in alleviating symptoms of these conditions.
What is at stake?
By decriminalizing psilocybin, Idaho has the opportunity to revolutionize mental health treatment, offering new hope to those in need. Conversely, maintaining its illegal status restricts access to these promising therapies, hindering the progress of mental health care. Johns Hopkins has done multiple studies on the use of psilocybin for therapeutic use, with huge successes.
Why is now the time to act?
The urgency for action is underscored by the growing body of scientific evidence supporting psilocybin's benefits. With other regions adopting more progressive approaches, Idaho must not delay in embracing this potential breakthrough in treatment. Immediate action is crucial to provide much-needed relief and support to our community.
