On May 26th, we lost a pillar of our community, Dorian Ray Liddell. He transitioned due to natural causes, and on May 31st was laid to rest in McKees Rocks, PA. The level of community support at his funeral was extraordinary and a testament to the type of person Dorian was. We had not seen such solidarity and love here before. This day, May 31st, should be declared Dorian Ray Liddell Day as to immortalize his memory and celebrate collectively the life of a man who touched so many. His generous acts encompassed feeding, sheltering, and supporting our residents, young and old alike. His loss is deeply personal, yet it is shared by many in this community. By making May 31st a day in his honor, we will not only remember Dorian but also remind ourselves of the values of community support and neighborly love he embodied.
