Declaration of Love to a Church for Everyone

The Issue

German l English

Dear sisters and brothers,

We are Julia, Clemens, Benedikt, Josy, Elias, Martin, Aaron and Emily. For several years, we have been involved as volunteers in our diocese Dresden-Meissen (Germany). Church has always accompanied us in important periods of our life. Because of our Church, we do not feel alone, understand new parts of ourselves and find connection in a diverse community.

For us, faith is individual.
   For Julia, faith is family.
   For Clemens, confidence.
For Benedikt, a source of strength.
   For Josy, belonging.
   For Elias, community.
   For Martin, simplicity.
   For Aaron, activities with friends.
   For Emily, faith is home.

God created every human according to His will, with His love and with uniqueness, that distinguishes, but unites us as one. God does not make mistakes. He accepts and loves us as the person that we are. God sees us as equal - regardless of political opinion, gender, origin, sexual orientation, skin color, religion, health condition and financial possibilities.

God will not exclude someone. God cares for the excluded ones. God loves all of us.

With Him, we will never fear to be seen as unwanted. He values women and homosexuals. He acknowledges them as equal, while our Church claims to act according to Gods will, but favors men and heterosexuals over other sexual identities and orientations.
How can the Church judge God's children?
How can the Church deny sacraments to us - as sisters and brothers of our Church?
How can the Church deprive us of humanity?

We have one request for the Catholic Church and our community - to love how our God loves and act accordingly. Everybody should be entitled to all sacraments:

  • Women should be able to work and act as a priest.
  • Homosexuality is no sickness or sin. It is created by God and in His will. Marriage of homosexual relations should be possible.

Support us to show, that every human is a reflection of God and that we need to portray His love in unity.
