Debate whether Individual Sanctions can be implemented for those involved with Epstein

Debate whether Individual Sanctions can be implemented for those involved with Epstein
The Issue
This petition is to debate whether the SALMA (2018) can be used to impose Individual Sanctions on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Sarah Ferguson & Peter Mandelson for their involvement with Epstein whilst awaiting trial.
This petition proposes to our Heads of State in the UK Government & Monarchy to impose Individual Sanctions on those British Citizens named within the Epstein Files (Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Sarah Ferguson, Peter Mandelson), as per the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 (SAMLA 2018) resulting in removal of Passports (Passports are issued in the name of the King, they shouldn’t be allowed freedom of movement in the name of the King), freezing of bank accounts and assets, as well as their titles and all privileges taken away. It applies to all UK Nationals, entities and activities within UK Territory.
The UK government can impose sanctions on a person without trial. Under the SALMA, ministers can designate individuals for sanctions, based on "reasonable grounds to suspect" involvement in certain activities, rather than requiring a criminal conviction. These are administrative, not judicial, decisions.
Reasonable Grounds: A person can be designated if there are reasonable grounds to suspect they are an "involved person," even if a court has not proven it.
The UK Nexus Clause: While the activity may be foreign, a sanction is generally imposed if there is a "UK nexus" (a connection to the UK) which can include:
- The person or entity has assets (bank accounts, property) in the UK.
- The person is involved in circumventing UK sanctions (e.g., using a third country to supply goods to a prohibited destination).
- The person is a director or controls a company that operates in the UK.
Whilst sanctions are often used for foreign policy, national security, or anti-terrorism purposes, I believe we can put this forward to government to show we are serious about seeing justice for those who have been abused, trafficked, assaulted, groomed and blackmailed. That those that are implicated are held accountable.
It should be debated whether Individual Sanctions should and could be applied in cases such as these.
