Multiple schools on the Mississippi Gulf Coast offer FCA. FCA is the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The purpose of this club is to “see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.” The mission of FCA is to “lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.” This club can allow student athletes to bring their peers and others in their community to come to know Christ. I believe that starting this club at d’Iberville High School will truly help students out and better the school, our athletic programs, and the community. Students are likely to want to learn more about their God and want to speak up about it when they see that their peers are doing the same.
