We believe, as young women, period products should be free for all. following the Scottish announcement recently, it is evident that this needs to be done as soon as possible and is clearly achievable. 

We also believe that as young women we shouldn’t have to pay extra for a basic human neccessity when men do not have to pay anything at all. In the UK, 5% VAT is added to all period products, increasing the price further. Not everyone is able to afford these so-called ’luxuries’.

More so, we are living in a male-dominated society where women are being made to feel ashamed of a completely natural thing that is happening.  Periods are recognised as a ’Taboo Topic’ but this old-fashioned ideology must go. IT IS 2020, we must change this, if not now, when?
