Dear IRCC, Please help your PALs

The Issue

We, the undersigned, are writing to express our deep concern regarding the delay in issuing Provincial Attestation Letters (PAL) to Indian students applying for visas to study in Canada. Many of these students have already paid their tuition fees and the Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) deposit, but they are still waiting for the PAL Letters from IRCC.

The delay in issuing PAL Letters has caused immense stress and uncertainty among Indian students who are eager to start their academic journey in Canada. They have been waiting for several weeks without any update from IRCC, and this delay is affecting their plans and preparations to study abroad. This delay has also created uncertainty in the education loans and mental stress, as they are unsure about their future plans and commitments.

We understand that IRCC may be facing challenges in implementing changes in the visa process. However, we respectfully request the IRCC to expedite the processing of PAL letters for Indian students and provide clear and timely updates regarding the status of their applications. We understand the challenges faced by the IRCC due to the ongoing global situation, but we urge you to prioritize their applications and ensure that they receive their PAL letters at the earliest convenience.

Crowds of students are eagerly waiting to submit their visa applications and begin their studies in Canada. It is imperative that IRCC takes immediate action to address this issue and ensure that Indian students are not further delayed in pursuing their academic aspirations in Canada.

We believe that timely issuance of PAL letters will not only benefit our students but also contribute to the overall efficiency of the visa processing system. Our students are eager to contribute to the academic and cultural diversity of Canada and look forward to receiving a positive response from the IRCC regarding our petition.

We trust that the Canadian government values the Indian student community and provide them with the assurance and support they need during these challenging times.
