Originally built to safeguard children's online experience, GoGuardian has inadvertently become a restrictive tool, thereby stunting the digital exploration of our younger generation. Research indicates that an open and limitless learning environment fosters creativity and critical thinking, both of which are keys to our children's future success [1]. The stringent control of GoGuardian not only undermines this concept, but also disregards the fact that students can learn about internet safety and online etiquette organically without being under constant surveillance. A balanced approach where GoGuardian's surveillance is less invasive could help to bring about an environment more conducing to individual growth. Thus, we urge the educational authorities to consider deactivating GoGuardian in favor of a more flexible and student-oriented approach.
