Not long ago, it was revealed that the LAPD has become involved with investigating Amber Heard for perjury. Well, her lawyer says no.
The “Aquaman” star’s lawyer said the Los Angeles Police Department is not looking into if she faked injuries during an alleged altercation between herself and ex-husband Johnny Depp during a hearing in his case against her. The statute of limitations has run out for that incident to be investigated, she insists.
I'm no law expert, I'll admit, but I've heard it said that it's not 3 years from the date of the incident that constitutes the statute. They say that the clock starts ticking when the authorities become aware of the perjury.
I don't know which scenario is true, but we'll see.
It seems to me, though, that if the statute of limitations were up, the LAPD wouldn't bother starting an investigation, and they know a lot more about it than me.
We can add this investigation, if there is one, to the pile of Heard's legal woes. She's reportedly still under investigation for perjury in Australia regarding an incident where she smuggled the couple's dogs into the country in violation of Australia's bio-laws.
And let's not forget Johnny Depp's case against her for defamation, as if we could forget. There are hearings for motions scheduled along the way, but the main event is due to start in April of 2022. That's when it's really going to hit the fan.
If the public thought that the libel case against the Sun was a circus, they haven't seen anything yet. The only evidence that was relevant in the Sun case was admitted as it related to the libel case.
In the Defamation case, EVERYTHING comes into play. And make no mistake, there's evidence we haven't even heard of yet. The Eastern Columbia building, where the couple lived, has CCtv security cameras that capture everything. There are stories about Heard chasing Depp out into the hall. If that happened, there's footage of it. Not to mention whatever men might have visited Heard in the penthouse when Depp was away working. Including what times they arrived and left.
Plus, there's the incident where Heard accused Depp of spilling wine all up and down the hallway in a fit of rage. If that happened, it'll be on camera, too. If not, the unblinking eye of the camera will show the truth of what happened that night. Including who was where, and when. Did the other penthouse denizens pass Depp's security to get into PH3? If not, they had to have come in through the adjoining penthouse, which screams setup, and blatantly contradicts their testimony.
Let's see those Toronto tapes.
Let's hear more of those recorded conversations.
Let's see it ALL.
Oh, yes. There's so much more to come.
Point being, Heard's legal woes might not be over with Johnny's defamation case, win or lose. She still stands to face investigations in two countries for statements her mouth made that reality might not be able to back up
