Make Joker and Harley Quinn Healthy

Make Joker and Harley Quinn Healthy
The Issue
Joker and Harley Quinn have been known for years to be unhealthy and toxic, but this goes against Joker's creators' beliefs and visions for him, as well as completely reverses his personality entirely- and in recent media and comics, they've paired Harley Quinn with Poison Ivy, which is no better no better than pairing Harley with the Joker - if not worse.
Paul Dini created Harley Quinn as The Joker's girlfriend, but also created her as a character to be hurt and beat by everyone she loved a trusted, including Poison Ivy. Paul Dini had made both The Joker and Poison Ivy's characters extremely manipulative and abusive towards Harley Quinn. Both of the them hitting her, yelling at her, leaving her behind, manipulating her into believing their false ideals.
But Poison Ivy's character was made to be manipulative and is based upon using people for her own leverage to get what she wants. The Joker, for decades, had just been a crazed clown criminal, having had multiple sidekicks in the past, whom he had never harmed physically. The abuse of people he held close didn't start until Paul Dini created Harley Quinn, specifically for him and many others she cared about and trusted, to hurt her.
The co-creator of The Joker, Jerry Robinson, had even confirmed that The Joker is capable of feeling genuine, romantic love and that it would be very unlikely for him to harm a lover, making his abuse towards Harley Quinn both unjust towards the actions themselves and his character. Paul Dini had completely altered The Joker's character to make him significantly more vile, horrible and disgusting in ways that don't "make him a better villain". Those actions themselves created his abusive relationship with Harley Quinn. Though for years, people had passed over the relationship and claimed "The Joker loves her but in a different way." which is not justification for him OR Paul Dini and needs correction.
Paul Dini has made attempts to resolve and fix their relationship, making two comics that show Joker caring for her and never lashing out at her or physically harming her - even praising her for her ideas and actions. The person who created the abuse has attempted to resolve and fix it in ways that don't involve changing one character's entire personality, like me and Poison Ivy and should see more light.
Say what you will about humanizing The Joker, whether you enjoy it or not, it is a fact, from his creators, that he is capable of being in love and being nice to the people he cares about. He's raised and treated past henchmen like his own children or siblings - like Jackanapes. Him being abusive towards someone he is supposed to love goes against his own ideals, his character and his history. Not to mention that comics and media have made him almost invincible, in recent years, giving him no weaknesses and barely any throwback for his actions. Giving him someone he genuinely cares about and loves gives him a weakness and something to hurt him with. If you think The Clown Prince of Crime is scary as he usually is, sending Harley to Arkham, kidnapping her, or harming or mentally or physically in any way should have a drastic effect and make him even more insane, violent and murder-prone.
Pairing Harley Quinn with Ivy is creating a healthy relationship out of an abusive one - when the abuser's personality was changed and altered to achieve this. In order to make Joker and Harley healthy and achieve a better effect, would be to change The Joker's personality back to how he was meant to be and give him back his original character, make his and Harley's relationship more realistic and Dini-fied just to hurt Harley. Poison Ivy was MADE to be manipulative and use others, The Joker was not, and shouldn't be made to be anymore.
We need to fix his character and his relationship and make him the way his creators intended him to be made.
