Daybreak residents are not getting the internet speeds they were promised.

The Issue

As residents of Daybreak, one of the many benefits we have been promised is a dedicated fiber optic internet connection with speeds of 100 Mpbs Down and 50 Mbps Up (https://www.daybreakutah.com/whats-happening/daybreak-residents-2/2017-upgrade-newer-faster-internet-speeds-daybreak-residents/  Over the past several months, a growing number of residents have complained of internet speeds far lower with some being so low as to not support basic functionality (less than 10 Mbps).  Last week, Centurylink acknowledged they had a "congestion" issue impacting the neighborhood but they would not provide any detail on how/when this issue would be addressed.  A few residents have tried to work with both CL and the Daybreak HOA but the feedback so far is that CL views this as an isolated issue impacting very few people and thus the HOA is not giving it the attention it deserves.  In order to help the HOA and CL grasp the magnitude of the issue, we are seeking to provide them with this petition of Daybreak Residents who are experiencing download speeds far lower than what was promised.  This especially applies to evening use when many residents claim their speeds are dropping so low as to not even allow basic functionality.

If you are a Daybreak resident experiencing slow internet speeds on a regular basis (especially in the evenings), please sign this petition so we can provide both CL leadership as well as our HOA representatives a clearer view of the impact this issue is having on our community.  If you are unsure how to verify your speed, you can visit http://centurylink.com/help and select the option, "Internet Speed Test".  Our hope is that this will help them properly prioritize making the necessary investments to expand their network to meet our current/future usage needs.
