We Are The Stewards! 

ASOciation, is a combination of the Tagalog word of dog, aso, and the English word, association.

 

“OPEN EYES, HEAR THEIR CRIES”! Breaking limits. We, ASOciation, stand against dog abuse & neglect.

 

Stray Dogs tries their best to live too! It is known that stray dogs are dogs who are abandoned by their previous owners, or simply not under the care of someone. Stray dogs are typically found on the street, hence the name, stray. This often leads to the lack of essential things dogs needs in its' life, such as homes and foods which typically leads to their demise.

 

There are borders when it comes to disciplining a child, but so does in a dog. Wanting the best and seeing only good behavior from our dogs is what motivates us to teach them. But how will we know that what we are doing is way past the line? According to Safe Voices, "dog abuse is the crime of inflicting physical pain, suffering, or death on an animal, usually a tame one, beyond the necessity for normal discipline". 

 

To care is necessary because it allows us to show sympathy. According to Wihumane.org, "people who abuse animals are five times more likely to commit violent crime. Animal abuse like any other forms of abuse is about power and control over a helpless victim" . Protecting one species can be a big step to humanity. Fun fact: they are known to help people with disability as well!

 

 

 

 

 

Abused dogs can be stray or domesticated.

 

 

 

 

 

According to Pedpedia.com, "Every 60 seconds, one animal suffers abuse. Close to 65% of all abused animals are dogs".

 

ASOciation, has 5 main goals:

1. Stand against dog abuse and neglect
2. Defend, save, and rescue stray canines
3. Prevent the spread of diseases from animals to people
4. Render a home for and provide basic needs for the dogs that shall be rescued
5. Avert the increasing number of animals lingering around to ensure a peaceful neighborhood

 

Everyone can be a hero. Being the voice for the voiceless. The strength of the weak. Who else will stand up for dogs against humans? The only answer is YOU, US, TOGETHER we are stewards. Raise your awareness about dogs. Spread the word. Abuse does not only occur to humans. It will never be acceptable, for dogs has a right to live too. Neglect will never have a good reason.
