A video was made by some Davie County High School students reenacting the death of a black man in police custody.

The video relates to the American George Floyd who's death has sparked protests surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement and police brutality. These obscene and patently offensive actions shown in the video made by the students goes blatantly against Davie County Schools values and terrorizes students of color in our school system.

We are asking for actual disciplinary action, such as suspension or expulsion, for this incident and any other incidents to follow and will not settle for futile consequences comparable to a slap on the wrist.

We are responsible for disallowing racists to feel enabled and safe in a system that actively works against Black people. This is how we change our nation's standards.
