I am an advocate for chronic pain patients and the physicians who take care of them. The reason I am starting this petition is simple, those of us living in chronic pain believe we should have some input regarding new guidelines the CDC is going to put in to action covering pain medication prescribing. I personally believe that physicians and patients have gotten out of control where pain meds are concerned, which is why I fully understand the need for guidelines. I also understand that making these guidelines without any input from pain patients is not only unfair, it is like only hearing one side of an argument. The CDC wants to protect people from illness and injury, well they need to protect chronic pain patients from unnecessary suffering and criticism as well. Please sign this petition so we the people suffering can possibly be heard by the Peer support group for these guidelines.
