Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, students are now required to transition to online courses for the remainder of the term. This is UNFAIR. The pandemic situation is uncertain and creates a HIGH STRESS environment. For students to be expected to maintain or achieve higher grades during NOT ONLY a transition of learning style and platform, but also a GLOBAL PANDEMIC, is not FAIR. Please provide all students of SAIT with a few viable options such as these. 

1. Pass/fail/honours as well as a frozen GPA.

2. For students who strongly insist on improving their grades or are in failing position, and wish to continue online: same as current grading system. 

The purpose of this petition is to provide students with OPTIONS. Again, many students will not be able to cope with the stress of a new school platform and the ever changing COVID-19 pandemic. This will ultimately compromise the academic consistency of our institution at this time.
