A leader in our community, Rafael Vasquez, has had a great impact among hundreds if not thousands of under-served and underprivileged people. He has made the difference across a wide spectrum of people from different cultures, ethnicities, sexual orientation, legal status and different perspectives.

A keystone of his contribution has been his involvement with KBBF 89.1 FM where he has hosted "Lideres del Futuro" for close to five years. In this position Rafael has had the chance to communicate to bilingual and more predominately Spanish speaking listeners. His shows provided a balanced view of recent events that simply are not communicated to Latinos. In his role, he fills a niche that is not been met by Spanish television news.

Hundreds of people depend upon his radio show.

Recent events have come to light, where Rafael Vasquez has been prohibited from continuing his show in KBBF 98.1 FM.

Vylma Ortiz, abruptly entered the radio cabin and criticized his performance ending his show there. Rafael Vasquez had a brief time to expose to what had happened to his viewers. Nevertheless, this leader was then walked out of the building by KBBF personnel and now no longer has a space to broadcast.
