Cancer is the #1 killer in the United States and one of the largest causes of cancer is smoking. We finally have an option for smokers to switch to which has been proven to be safe to use and I think that the country should embrace these devices and support those who choose to switch from smoking to e-cigarettes.

This is why I think David Hough's move to ban e-cigarettes from Hennepin County property is sending the wrong message and is a decision that is based on false information and lack of education.

David Hough - you've continued to ignore our emails and correspondence, please do not ignore this issue. Please read the studies that prove that e-cigarettes and vaping devices are safe products that smokers are switching to in order to better their quality of life and health.

Please allow us the opportunity to share with you the hundreds of stories of smokers who have made the switch to e-cigarettes that were able to quit smoking and regain lung function, eliminate COPD related issues, and increase their life expectancy.

Please reconsider the Hennepin County ban of e-cigarettes. Hennepin County has always prided itself on being progressive, please don't be the one responsible for breaking that trend.
