Ask RPI campus dining halls to provide more vegan options to students

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY is dedicated to sustainability and innovation towards climate change, yet they are lacking in the options available to veg-eating students in the campus dining halls. Veganism and vegetarianism are solutions to the #1 influence on climate change - the meat and dairy industries - so it is only logical that RPI encourages their practice.
As a current vegetarian and friend of several vegetarians and vegans, we sometimes find it difficult to eat at the campus dining halls. We're asking the RPI dining team to:
- Designate a small station in each dining hall specifically for the vegan options they already provide so that veg students have an area they can always go to when in the dining halls
- Have at least 2 options for each meal at said vegan station
- Provide at least 1 vegan dessert durring lunch and dinner
The purpose of this peition is to show the dining team that there is a demand for these requests within the RPI student community. If demand is demonstrated, we can work with the dining team to allow veg students to feel more comfortable and secure in the dining halls.
