As a dog owner and  a animal lover with two pages on facebook , one is to Help Find Dakota the other is Precious Petz lost , found and rehoming myself and admin are  amazed that we do not have any dog wardens or animal control who work out of the hours after 5pm  or at the weekends in northern ireland and ireland , week after week we come across people who have found or lost pets and its the same story that we have to explain to them that there is no wardens until monday this is of no help whatsoever to those who are desperate to find their pets and for those who have found a pet but have no where to keep them !  on the webpage for the council  it states that you can ring 101 for assistance if you need help with animal issues , this is not the case as they do not go out at all as i have rang myself and told they do not go out unless its going to cause an accident or is a danger to others , animal control do not go out unless its a large animal such as a horse or cow , if an animal is found dead who do we call ? all these issues need addressed as soon as possible as there is too many dogs , cats and other pets being neglected by those who have the power to change things ! its shocking what people have to go through when they need help in the evenings and weekends we and those like myself who have pages to help can do nothing , all of the above issues need changed for the better !
