On 23 July 2013 my nephew and sister’s only son Tyrell was murdered on his 19th birthday in Malia. He was stabbed by someone from a group of boys he had never met, who admit they came armed with knives to a nightclub. 14 British nationals were charged, but in November a Greek court failed to convict any of them for his death. 

Our pleas for help to the British Government and the Prime Minister have fallen on deaf ears. Tyrell’s mum told David Cameron that the Greek police sent the clothes he was wearing when he was killed back to her in the post. Three knives were discovered from a bloody attack but little DNA collected. One suspect was convicted of carrying a weapon just five days before Tyrell's murder but allowed by a judge to go on holiday and take part in this fatal event. Yet despite these failures our Government refuses to get involved. Consequently possible killers are free to walk our streets here in Britain and my sister’s son's death remains unexplained. 

The Government signed a pledge that states where a British national is killed and a British national charged with this crime overseas, the case can be tried in the UK. We therefore request the Government explain's how it they intends to help Tyrell’s family and whether or not it intends to commence any kind of investigation here in the UK? We want justice for Tyrell.
