Gender-neutral Strathallan Uniforms

Gender-neutral Strathallan Uniforms
The issue
The situation
ACG Strathallan's current uniform rules are that students wear either the "Girl's uniform" or the "Boy's uniform". In our summer uniform, in particular, the girl's uniform and the boy's uniform are very different from each other. The rules also imply that students must wear the uniform that corresponds with the gender the school has in their database for that student - which, at the time of this petition's writing, unsurprisingly doesn't offer nonbinary as an option. Many students in the school feel uncomfortable being forced into a box every time they go to school because of their uniform.
Strathallan prides itself on nurturing and caring for student's wellbeing, as well as saying that their uniform promotes equality among students. We want all students to have this opportunity to feel comfortable at school. For uniforms to promote "equality", they must cater to all students.
What we're proposing
We are proposing that Strathallan's uniform rules change so that students can choose what items of the uniform they wear out of the existing uniform. This means that students can choose whether they wear the shirt or the blouse, the skirt, the trousers or the shorts, which blazer they wear, which socks they wear, etcetera, regardless of their gender. This will not cause any change to what the uniform providers are doing, nor will it cause a major change to the school's rules.
Who would this affect?
This would affect the school as it would have to change its policies. It would benefit the students of Strathallan by letting them wear whichever uniform they feel comfortable in, especially those who are gender non-conforming or who simply would prefer to wear a more androgenous uniform to school. It would make the school's image more progressive and accepting of students' identity and the LGBTQQIA+ community. It would also increase the student body's overall acceptance of the rainbow community, something that definitely needs to improve.
Two of Strathallan's school values are pride and respect - wouldn't this tie in with those values, respecting students' identities and allowing them to wear the uniforms that they want to wear with pride.
