It was a normal day until I received the devastating news - my cousin was involved in a horrific car crash at the intersection of Ohio State Route 511 and US Route 30. Her life changed instantly, and she is in critical condition. Moreover, it seems she is not alone. Accident frequency at this intersection appears to be on the rise, an alarming reality which we can no longer ignore. 

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has an obligation not merely to react to such tragedies but to anticipate and prevent them. However, for too long, safety improvements at this intersection have been overlooked.

There have been dozens of collisions recorded at this same junction in the past five years alone, a fact known by the Ohio Department of Transportation. These figures underline an urgent need for ODOT to reassess and enhance safety measures at this intersection. 

This is a call for ODOT to take immediate action. We urge them to examine, and implement all necessary safety features to prevent further accidents and unnecessary injuries. We don't want more families to go through the pain of seeing their loved ones in such horrifying circumstances.
