It is rather disheartening to try and raise a child and every evening without fail, Ice Cream trucks traverse the neighborhood with 'NIGGER LOVE A WATERMELON HA!HA!HA!' song day and night!

It is upsetting that there is such a disconnect when most Ice Cream trucks are not owned by Afrikans in this town. There is outrage because most of the people do not understand the song and therefore pay no attention to it. However, for those of us who do understand this, we'd like this to come to an end immediately.

We would insist someone on the city council assist us in getting this message to the vendor and urging them to remove the song from their playlist. 

I would expect an opportunity to sit and discuss this issue with myself and other members of the community.
