If you choose to google ''Kodagu''  it will say '' Kodagu District , located in Karnataka is famous for its coffee plantations, steep hills, countless streams, rich flora & fauna, lush forests and breathtaking views.''

The proposal from Ratna Commercial Enterprises, a subsidiary of Dabur to build a WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL SCHOOL in a small village called HOSKERI in KODAGU DISTRICT is going to mean that almost 50 acres of lush green coffee estates sitting on a small hillock will be DESTROYED!! The plan to build a fully residential school for 500 children including multiple playing fields, swimming pool and even a helipad will bring nothing but destruction to the hills that have been maintained as coffee estates for over 100 years. Under the guise of education ,it is ironic that an environmental school  is being built by destroying and levelling the existing eco-system. How will a fully residential school, which is clearly catering to the elite help development of Kodagu? 

Our simple plea is to take this project and build it in  a barren  region where there is shortage of greenery and set an example by creating a green school out of nothing. 

Please help us save Hoskeri and Kodagu.
