Airsoft is a fun, harmless (to an extent) sport! It is played in many countries in Europe and the US.. Airsoft gives kids, teens and even adults a chance to get out of the house and have some sort of exercise! Airsoft is a great way to bring family and friends together and would help Cyprus push closer to becoming a more up-to-date "western" county. there is no reason whatsoever why Airsoft should be illegal as their pellets cannot kill (they may sting but that's what protective gear is for!) are the government worried that Airsoft gun owners would use the weapons to inflict fear and commit robberies with these fake guns? This should not be the case as the UK have Airsoft guns legal and they have not been used in any violent crimes. It would also give companies a chance to open up stores and ranges in Cyprus and would surely give the economy a slight boost? Cyprus has an almost identical terrain to Afghanistan (hence why the British armed forces do/did pre deployment training in Cyprus) because of this factor Cyprus Airsoft organisers could hold competitions here and attract people from all over to come play here. the Airsoft community is growing everyday and Cyprus need to jump on this potential big busines opportunity before it's too late! LEGALISE THE USE AND OWENERSHIP OF AIRSOFT GUNS IN CYPRUS !!!
