END CYBER BULLYING
Why this petition matters
Word Scars , Rumor Destroys , Bullies Kills
Cyber bullying is a problem in societies that are advanced enough to have the technology to connect with other people online and is not easily fixable. Cyber bullying can affect anyone but is most prominent in today’s youth. If we can curve out this awful behavior early in their age, they are unlikely to continue down that path. Unfortunately this is not an easy task. This will require schools, and especially parents to be aware of the problem and act on it. Eliminating cyber bullying will take a combined effort and wont be eliminated over night. If the government is willing to accept that cyber bullying is a problem, laws can be put in place to help discourage this activity.
cyber bullying—causes significant emotional and psychological distress. Just like any other victim of bullying, cyber bullied kids experience anxiety, fear, depression, and low self-esteem. ... But targets of cyber bullying also experience some unique consequences and negative feelings.
Initial research shows cyber bullying has increased 70% during stay-at-home orders. Pandemic stressors can cause kids to lash out or potentially create conflict with others.
Over half of adolescents and teens have been bullied online, and about the same number have engaged in cyber bullying. More than 1 in 3 young people have experienced cyber threats online. Over 25 percent of adolescents and teens have been bullied repeatedly through their cell phones or the Internet.
Even still, parents and schools should eliminate and stop this behavior now, then laws shouldn’t be necessary. Cyber bullying is a serious issue, and like any form of bullying it can have long-term effects on its victims. It is already a high time and we all should make a sincere effort towards it and end Cyber Bullying.
