Tim Houston's along with local MLA Dave Ritcey's Progressive Conservative party have created a billion dollar deficit. They are trying to make up for this by cutting important funding to province wide programs. This effects education, art, cultural, low income households, environmentally comprised households, African Nova Scotians, Gaelics, Acadians, queer Nova Scotians, and Mi'kmaq communities.
