Curve the LS7A AoL 3 (UCLA) - a fight for current and future LS7A cohorts!
The Issue
If you are currently in the LS7A cohort at UCLA, you should know the issues surrounding the AoL assignments. Currently, the Professors for LS7A have consistently made errors within the AoL assignments. We, the students, have dealt with these mistakes on every AoL and have received a singular point for every question with an error. My peers and I believe that it is not enough due to the amount of stress and anxiety added to the existing turmoil of emotions many go through taking these impactful AoLs. These mistakes cause unnecessary worry and concern to the students as we are unsure of any other existing mistakes not caught by other students or the professors themselves. These AoLs should be thoroughly proofread and corrected before given to students. Admitting to these errors after the exams are opened is unfair to those who have already started or taken the exam. I would also like to point out the fact that in the most recent AoL (AoL 3), students, not professors, were the one to catch the mistake. Nobody should have to worry whether or not their professor gave them a faulty exam. If things change, and professors do a better job at making these AoLs, this will benefit the future students of the LS7 series. Now is the time to sign and petition to curve this AoL for the sake of current and future cohorts.
