Culver school district is stopping Youth Transition Program services starting Oct 1st. These services are ESSENTIAL for Intellectual and Developmental Disability students and any student with an Individualized Education Plan. The Youth Transition Program (YTP moving forward) redies these young adults for life after school. These students receive services that allow them to gain independence as well as jobs skills that will allow them to be successful in future employment opportunities. 

    Approximately 25 students will be loosing these services, essentially being left with no one manage the program and allow them a chance at learning these skills in a safe environment. Kristi Saulsbury is the current YTP coordinator in Culver and her position is dissolving this OCT 1st (2023).  The YTP program works in conjunction with local employers in Jefferson County to teach these students these important skills for success.

   The time is now to act again as Oct 1st is the end date for this program. Let our voices be heard. Sign the petition! Call the Culver superintendent! Don't let our youth get left out in the cold
