Residents from Elstree and surrounding areas have been left deeply saddened and shocked at the actual state of Aldenham Reservoir based in Elstree. Aldenham Reservoir water levels have been dropped and so the Elstree Sailing Club is leaving the Reservoir. The beauty of our beloved Reservoir is not longer there. A fence has been build so there are some access restrictions now for visitors of our jewel from Hertfordshire. Our Reservoir is even stinking. "Liberty Lake Leisure Ltd" has now the lease of our Reservoir and so this is the state of our tourist attraction from UK now! It is not fair what is happening to our historic Reservoir that was build by prisoners of war and it is not fair for residents, especially for residents in Elstree Village who are the nearby residents to suffer once again after what they had to suffer with the stench and health hazard for over 8 years from the Reviva Composting site (Composting is not supposed to be happening there anymore). We, should not lose a tourist attraction, a historic place and a jewel such as "Aldenham Reservoir" as there may be an impact on revenues!

Therefore, I am asking the Culture Secretary and Hertsmere MP Oliver Dowden, the Tourism Secretary and Mid Worcestershire MP Nigel Huddleston, Hertfordshire County Council and Hertsmere Borough Council to do the right thing and Get Aldenham Reservoir back to the public #GetAldenhamReservoirbacktothepublic!
