As students paying full tuition at CU Boulder, I believe that the library is the most essential facility that we need access to. Transitioning to a world where everything is done online is very challenging. I respect and acknowledge CU's efforts to abide by safety measures but the fact that the gym is open and not the library shows a lack of understanding for student's needs. 

We need to have access to quiet places to study. Student's are on different schedules and as a student who lives on the hill, the proximity of people creates a lot of uncontrollable noise and therefore an environment that is not conducive for studying. 

CU has decided to make Norlin Library into a lecture hall and gives students the ability to reserve rooms in other buildings to study. I was assigned to a huge lecture room with a small desk as a replacement. Let the library be used for its designated purpose of studying and lecture halls for appropriately distanced lectures.
