As of now, Columbus State University considers Alpha Omega Christian Sorority Incorporated as a faith-based organization instead of a Greek organization. The sorority is incorporated, which means we're nationally known and have other existing chapters in Houston, TX and Richmond, VA. I recently chartered the sorority unto Columbus State's Campus, and we crossed our first line December 8th 2012. The only difference between us and other Greek organizations is that you have to believe in Christ in order to join. We were welcomed by majority of Greek Life and other students, yet it seems that the Greek Life Coordinator has excommunicated our sorority from ALL aspects of Greek Life because of our faith.

We have participated in some Greek Activities such as the Homecoming Step Show and the Wiggle like Sigma because we were personally invited to sorority or fraternity’s events. But we are still unable to participate in Greek Events sponsored by CSU’s Greek Life Coordinator. And as a result, she is stifling our chance for growth. We don’t receive the same advertising opportunities as other Greeks, including the opportunity to participate in Greek Week activities.
