Hi my name is Shawna Coleman I'm writing this petition in hopes of allowing others to see the wrong in being charged with Murder for defending yourself in your own home,and how it was Merely self-dedense, on May 03,2014 my Father Michael Joseph Malory "POPEYE" Was in his home in security colorado when a young man came to my Father's dwelling and merely had all intentions of killing my Father, he told my Father "I will kill you, you one eyed cocksucker,and reached belong his back, my Father is 61 years old, not in good physical health, terminally ill, and had just had as motorcycle accident, in defence of my Father he shot him and he died, in the state of Colorado they have the make my day law the young man had entered my Father's dwelling and threatened to kill him, my Father acted in self defense, well the unruly justice system did not see it that way, He was charged with Murder 1 and conspiracy to commit Murder, My Father was aquitted of Murder 1 and conspiracy to commit murder, He was then tried again for Murder 2 , which I do beleive to be a violation of his due process and the fact that it was merely self-defense not murder, My Father was convicted of 2nd degree Murder and sentenced to 48 yrs, I am asking that you sign this petition in hopes of freeing my Father for a act of Self-Defense and not Murder as the make my day law does apply in the state of Colorado!!
