Crystal DeLuca FOR 2025 RESTRUCTURE

The Issue

We, the undersigned and members in good standing of Canada Post representing Aurora/Newmarket have a collective interest in the fair and equitable treatment of our workforce. Our goal is to ensure that the most experienced personnel are assigned to critical roles within our organization.

About Crystal DeLuca:

- Position: FT/LT

- Location: Aurora/Newmarket

- Experience: 20 years in the postal service

Achievements:

  - Successfully navigated 4 restructures

  - Won a significant 47:11 grievance in 2017, resulting in a re-evaluation of a prior restructure

  - Contributed to the growth of our team from 12 FT and 1 PT to 14 FT

  - Selected by the National office to serve on the National Route Measurement Committee, demonstrating exceptional skill and capability

REQUEST
We propose the following actions:

1. Reassignment of the "Restructure" Position: We request that the position of "Restructure" be assigned to the most experienced member, specifically Crystal, who has proven her dedication and capability throughout her career.

2. Motion to Overturn Secretary Treasurer's Appointment: We intend to put forward a motion to challenge the current appointment made by the Secretary Treasurer, as we believe it undermines our local governance and the expertise of our members.

Call to Action:

We invite all members in good standing to support this petition by signing below. Your participation is crucial for us to present this motion at the upcoming Local General Membership meeting.

Next Steps:

- Gather signatures and prepare for the Local General Membership meeting.

- Mobilize as many supporters as possible to attend and advocate for the motion.

- Challenge any rulings made by the Secretary Treasurer during the meeting, emphasizing that the membership needs Crystal DeLuca for an effective 2025 restructure.

Together, we can remind the Local Administration that it is the Membership that is the highest governing body. Let us ensure that our local union operates with the experience and expertise it deserves and requires at this moment. Thank you for your support.
